PowerTrax 9203822905 No-Slip Traction System for 97-07 Jeep Vehicles with 29 Spline Chrysler 8.25" Open Differential Axle
The POWERTRAX® TRACTION SYSTEMS are the latest design in traction adding differential technology. It combines the smooth operation of a limited-slip differential, with the traction performance of a locking differential.
A precise synchronization mechanism eliminates the ratcheting sounds typical of other locking differentials. Special gear and spring design reduce the backlash and therefore driveline windup. Only ultra strength material is used which is 67% stronger than titanium.
Installation is simple because no ring and pinion set-up is required. In addition, no special tools or oils are needed. Step by step model specific instructions are provided with every kit.
The POWERTRAX® TRACTION SYSTEMS are the ideal solution for just about any light truck, sport utility, and muscle car on the road today. Whether you need the safety of added traction for daily commuting, recreation, work, or just so your muscle car puts power to the pavement instead of burning one wheel up, the POWERTRAX® TRACTION SYSTEMS are your answer.

PowerTrax No-Slip Traction System Reviews
Ran this on my 99XJ for the last 2 years. Great part. The instructions suck, but take your time and go slow. It works fantastic and is a big improvement over stock/open diff.
Nate
Unfortunately I still can not rate the product, while dismantling the rear axle, I found that Track-Lok (Limited Slip) installed in my rear axle and therefore can not install the Powertrax No-slip. Note (for all owners of Crysler 8.25), check well before purchasing that you do not have a limited Slip (I think Quadratec should emphasize this).Unfortunately I still can not rate the product, while dismantling the rear axle, I found that installed in the z1 axle and therefore can not install the lock. Please note (for all the owners of Captain 8.25), check well before purchasing that you do not have a limited lock (I think Quadratec should emphasize it)
However, the shipping was quick and without problems. The instructions are generic and I would recommend giving more emphasis and restrictions before installation.
In the mud, sand, water, and rock it grips nice! But when i am driving around town it litterly sounds like my rear end is about to fallout. it is so noisy and when iv already done 2 rear diff oil changes there is a fair amount of glitter. I dont know if its still breaking in or what but i am for sure going with the Detroit.
