Gear Reduction High Torque Starters offer nearly 100 percent more torque than stock starters. A heat-sinked and corrosion-proofed solenoid prevents overheating and prevents thermal breakdown. Mean Green Starters are 1/3 smaller in size and weight than stock. The rotating billet aluminum nose cone versions can be rotated in 20° increments to allow for better header clearance & protection from the heat. Provides 35,000 trouble-free torque-filled starts compared to the average of 5000 starts per stock unit. Amperage draw is less than a stock starter.
Fitment Note:
Heavy-duty construction & extreme performance and reliability with a total of 5 sealed ball bearings to keep out water. Stainless steel mainshafts provide direct line engagement No more hot start problems & a 2-year unconditional guarantee.

Mean Green Starter Reviews
I had one on my jeep for 12 years. Never failed to quickly start my 4.0 Jeep. However. In the final year I hit a big puddle of water and I guess water got into the starter. Whenever it was cold the solenoid would fail to engage the starter until I warmed up the starter. But in warm weather it was a champ! Best starter I have EVER dealt with
I bought one of these starters and was initially impressed. It went right in, with the exception of the solenoid wire connection being of a different type, and relocating it so I had to make a longer wire. Once installed it, started right up with ample torque to turn over the motor. Unfortunately, it came with a two-year warrantee and failed shortly thereafter. I will replace with a different brand.
I ordered the manual transmission starter on accident. I still have it and am keeping it for the future build. I did put one on my diesel pickup though. And it spins the motor twice as fast as stock. So probably same thing here.
