Description
When your Wrangler JK tailgate has taken a beating and the latch system is no longer holding the body pin tight, the Mopar Tailgate Latch will get you fixed up like factory. This latch for manual lock systems installs inside the tailgate and connects to the connecting rods with the included plastic clips that are color coded to make installation a snap.

Buy this, but pay someone to install it. Pain in the backside. I was so irritated with the stealership that I plowed on through. Works great (dealer said they couldn't get one for two weeks -- I had this one in two days), but not for a dabbler to install.

My tailgate on my 2013 JKU 4 door is now locked and will not respond to the power locks or the manual key, I can hear and feel the actuator clicking when I try either key or fob, will this fix the problem and be the right part?
This is for manual locks. The correct part for power lock would be #4589584AG. If neither key or fob is working then you may have something simple like a linkage disconnected.
