Westin Oil Pan Skid Plate for 18-20 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT

This skid is very thick. Looks very sturdy. It tightly cradles the oil pan so this is not like other skids that are plates that cover a wide area. So set your expectations as this is not a large skid plate but a form fitted armor plate for the oil pan itself. I had an issue with the front mounting bracket position as it is different in every illustration and photo in the installation instructions! Use the instructions as a guide and you need a little mechanical know how to figure out the proper installation. Mine arrived looking unscathed and nicely packed in bubble wrap and foam. But the tabs were all out of whack. So I don’t think shipping is what bent them they must have been poorly manufactured. I bent them to the angles I needed for the install and it wasn’t hard but I shouldn’t have to do that on a $160 hunk of metal. The label on the box said it fit up to 2019 so I called and their tech support confirmed fits up to the 2021 V6s including the eTorque motor I have and does not fit the 2.0 Turbo or the diesel.

Fits the 3.6 only. The skid is nice quality but the hardware it comes with isn't very high quality, especially the lock washers. I recommend going to the hardware store and getting better quality hardware. It does mount onto the oil pan and bell housing of the trans. Your comfort with anchoring a skid plate there may vary.

Does not fit 2019 JL w/v6 due to mid-year model change. Seems well made, appears to fit well, but I can't fully install it yet due to a change Jeep made mid-year from having a stud to a bolt at the back of the engine. I immediately contacted support at Westin, who got back to me relatively quickly, said they were going to ship a bolt, but still three months later have not sent the bolt, nor are they replying to the ticket. Pretty frustrated.

I will update this if they ever get me the correct part.
