Tuffy Security Products Hood Lock Reviews
This is a must have , recommend painting with Por 15 as the powered coat will peel off over time and paint bolts as well
Peace of mind in these crazy times. Easy to install, and well made. I was eventually going to put the dust cap (that you can buy separately) on it. However, I decided not to. I've had this installed for almost half a year, with a few thousand miles on it in all types of weather and the lock still works perfectly. If you are worried about it seizing up and don't want to bother putting the cap on it: check your oil. No seriously, if you actually open your hood once a month to check your oil (like you SHOULD!) or add washer fluid, I don't see why this lock won't last for many years in areas like mine where we get all 4 seasons of weather. If you live somewhere that has lots of snow and ice, and your Jeep is bombarded by terrible road chemicals, then the cap may be worth installing.
Super easy install. Piece of mind for anyone that has to leave Jeep outside for any amount of time
