Description
Gain additional ground clearance and improve the stance of your Grand Cherokee WJ with the Rough Country 4in Suspension Lift Kit. This lift kit was designed to both lift and level the Jeep. It will fit 32” tires, and is easy to install. Rough Country optimizes drive line angles by using a combination of transmission crossmember spacers, rear control arm brackets, and fixed length front lower control arms. The included lower control arms feature Clevite brand, factory style rubber bushings. Rough Country tunes their coil springs to the OEM spring rate, for a lift with stock ride quality. This kit also includes Rough Country’s premium N3 shocks. The twin-tube nitrogen-charged N3 shocks provide smooth a smooth ride with 10-stage variable valving.

Details

Driveline Geometry: To optimize driveline geometry and suspension angles, Rough Country includes front lower control arms, rear control arm drop brackets, and transmission crossmember spacers. This combination maintains correct pinion and dive shaft angles for a smoother ride.

Very happy with my 4" lift! The ride is much smoother, the offroading is great, I only have 28" tires right now and this lift allows me to go on very difficult trails that I otherwise couldn't make without any trouble.
Installation took my dad and I two whole days, which isn't that bad considering it was our first major modification installation. The most time consuming part was removing the stock pitman arm, which requires a gear puller (not included). The instructions were clear enough with pictures to understand and follow and the hardware was labeled and described well in the instructions.
If you don't have a lift, get one, especially if you're offroading, and you'll look 100x cooler driving down the road.

Questions

Is there a lift kit that will work with the AWD Grand Cherokees?
No. But with a conversion to a double cardan style front drive shaft from the standard rzeppa style drive shaft, they can be successfully mounted. This video is pretty well detailed on an explanation. Tom Woods is a supplier we can make a special order for the drive shaft that would be needed. Can i fit 33 with just some rubbing??
No. This suspension system was developed using a 265 / 75R-16 (only 31.6" outer diameter) tire with factory wheels. If bigger/ wider tire are used with the factory wheels or factory offset wheels you must carefully check the clearance during turning and between the tires and the lower control arm and the front sway bar link before driving. Does the steering damper that comes in the kit replace the original of the truck or is it necessary to install it as a complement to the original?
In addition to your WJ's factory stabilizer, this kit features a steering stabilizer and a full set of N3 shocks, giving you premium vibration dampening equally suitable for off-road action or daily driving. Thanks for your question.
