Many states have laws that limit the maximum height of a lifted vehicle. Never exceed the legal height limit.
Shock Options: Select from Rough Country’s N3 shocks, V2 Shocks, or their Vertex Remote Reservoir shocks. Shock relocation brackets allow you to run your factory shocks with this lift. N3 shocks provide smooth performance with nitrogen-charged 10-stage variable valving. Vertex shocks feature 8-stage adjustability, and a nitrogen-charged monotube design. The remote reservoir increases fluid capacity, and reduces fade by dissipating heat. The Rough Country V2 shocks feature an aluminum body with a high-pressure monotube construction.
Control Arm Drop Brackets: By including Control Arm Drop Brackets with this kit, Rough Country optimizes driveline geometry and suspension travel. With a lower mounting point on the frame, the control arms are able to move in the factory arc.
Wrangler JK: The Rough Country 3.5in Suspension Lift Kit with Control Arm Drop was designed for use with two door Jeeps. The coil springs were specifically tuned for the Wrangler JK, and this kit is not compatible with four door models. If your Jeep is a 2012 or newer with a 3.6L engine, then you will need exhaust spacers to avoid interference with the front driveshaft.
Run Larger Wheels and Tires: The Rough Country 3.5in Suspension Lift Kit with Control Arm Drop allows you to fit 35x12.50 on your two door Jeep. You will also need between 4.5” and 4.75” of backspacing, so if you are using factory wheels, then you will need 1.5” wheel spacers.

Rough Country 3.5in Suspension Lift Kit with Control Arm Drop Reviews
If your considering this lift you probably already know it’s not meant for heavy off road or rock crawling. You may also have also seen some poor reviews. I have been very happy so far. I installed this myself on 2015 JK. I took time to do it right ( about 10 hrs total). I put 37” tires with upgraded steering stabilizer. No wheel spacers. I also upgraded the front disconnects to quick release. I had it professionally aligned. I have put about 3k miles since with a little light off roading. The ride is great on the road. High speed no problems. Off road it is does just fine for what I use it for . Great lift for the money. Don’t let the few bad reviews scare you. This lift is good quality and performs well if installed correctly.
The instructions were very clear and they list almost every size socket and wrench you’ll need. You will need a 33mm socket or wrench for the steering gear side of the pitman arm. I installed this on a 2016 Rubicon. You may want to buy another set of Sway bar links because they have you use the rear ones for the front because they are longer and mine broke coming off. Overall I’m very happy with it the ride is softer and I think more comfortable than stock and it eats bumps well. I have never done much suspension work and I just followed the instructions and it took me about 2 days.
