Rough Country 1in Body Mount Lift Kit Reviews
Couldn't be happier. Fit great. had seen horror stories of the front radiator support bushings being a pain to install. This kit prevents that by sending metal blocks that simply slide under the factory outer radiator bushings, then attach with a simple self tap style screw. Was elated to not have to deal with this issue. Would give 6 stars if I could.
Very nice kit. Looks perfect, and should make cleaning and maintaining our beloved YJ frames much easier. '88 YJ w/ 2.5L
Beware!! The bolts are about 1/2” too long and the instructions are incorrect. First the instructions, they read on page-2 that the bushing with the “Small ID” are to be placed at locations 1 on the frame and the bushings with the “Large ID” are to be placed at locations 2, this is not true and the reverse is actual. Small ID (7/16” bolt) goes at the four rear locations, on their drawing the rear locations are listed as 2 the larger bolts 1/2” go to the 6 front locations and on their drawing is locations 1 the center bushing is a small ID. The bolts are too long a minimum of 1/2” too long, the two bolts that go through the rear cross member that holds the front of the fuel tank poked through the rear floorboard or cargo area rather. The two side mounts that are near the roll bar mount by the rear passengers feet pushed up the floorboard and created a raised “bubble”. The flat washers are too soft and collapsed when torqued to specs, which didn’t help when the bolts are too long to begin with. The bushing material seems to be good but it’s unfortunate that this kit compromised my floorboards after having it professionally painted.
