Rancho Rear Shock and Control Arm Skid Plates Reviews
These are a top two skid investment, probably behind engine/tcase (because of obvious implications there). These see more abuse than any other skid and do a lot to keep me from hanging up. Most of my riding crew has invested in them too. “Get the skis!” is a common piece of advice we give. They really do act/look like stubby skis and help you slide right over stuff.
Bought these for a Jeep Jamboree i was going on. Now some will say, dont buy skids for the Rear Shock and Control Arms. Waste of money. There was a lifted jku sport with 35's in front of me and he was complaining of hitting his Rear Shock and Control Arm bracket. Me....i was fine. Looked at the skids. Hit the drivers a few times. The passenger side was hit pretty hard and has a sharp edge. But all good. Now install is a pia. You have to line both bolt holes up at the same time. First one was the learning curve. Second one was faster. But they protected my Rancho 9000 shocks well. Would buy again.
