Powermaster 43311 170 / 110 Amp Alternator in Natural Finish for 91-01 Jeep Wrangler YJ, TJ & Cherokee XJ

The power master 170/110 all has been working great for over two years ! It was easy to install added 4 gage wire where needed and it has preformed as needed with out problems !It has been a great replacement for my stock 75 amp al Have not had a power problem after install !Approve it !!t

I purchased this unit for my 2001 XJ, which both Powermaster and Quadratec indicate fits. Be forewarned - you need to make modifications to both the front bracket and mounting bracket. I had to grind a significant amount of metal off both in order to make it fit. You also need to cut off the factory wiring harness and install ring terminals that attach to the alternator. Powermaster's website looks like it hasn't been updated since the late 90s. Their product catalog is an embedded PDF viewer that is a pain to use. You can't just download the PDF and read it. I managed to find info for my unit; They require you to run a minimum 4ga wire to replace the lead to the positive battery terminal and install a 4ga lead from the alternator to the engine block for ground. Plan accordingly if you purchase this.
