OMIX 120 Amp Alternator Reviews
1992 XJ, alternator looks good and of high quality. You will have to grind down the bracket though to make it fit if you had the 90 amp oem.
I was dissatisfied with the first alternator I got as it only lasted me 4-5 months and almost left me stranded deep in no cellphone reception Maine woods. Luckily my optima battery was able to limp me to the only Autoparts store in town to get a replacement so I could make the 3 plus hour drive home. Unfortunately my battery got so discharged I had to replace it as well, but quadratec was great and got me another one right out the day I talked to them. I couldn’t be happier with there customer service!!! Hopefully the replacement will let me give a better review than the first. Also you have to grind your alternator bracket to clear the larger body of the 120 amp alternator vs the 100 amp stock one, I noticed no other reviews mentioned this and wanted people to be aware it’s not a simple plug and play setup.
