Another rubber part that deteriorates and deforms over time, replacing helps to support the tire against the tailgate.

is the distance of 4" the distance from the tailgate to the tire? I need 3.5"
This is the factory replacement which is 2-3/4" long. If you need longer you should see the Daystar Bump Stop which can be trimmed to the correct length. See https://www.quadratec.com/products/16053_520.htm
