Go Rhino Dominator D6 Side Steps Reviews
The work great. The wide platform works well for shorter passengers as well as easier entry for pets. The additional removable step options has been terrific for even loading up grandma for a cruise down Route 66. The wide platform also allows better and safer mobility when removing tops. The installation is not like others I have done so it is a little confusing and more time consuming but worth it.
I installed one side by my self, it goes much quicker with another set of hands. All the parts fit up quite nicely. I would check out the instructions on Quadratic's web site. They seem to be more up to date with the one that gets sent with the product. They provide a large foot area with minimal clearance loss. The 6" set is great for reaching the top of the cab area or the middle of the window. I slide mine more to the front so that it would be easier for me to clear snow off the window and hood.
It would have been a 5 star product but the brackets are hard to line up and take some fiddling to get lined up. The brackets could have been designed to provide a little more room so that you could use a ratchet and socket style wrench.
My only concern for long term is in the tube were the brackets go there isn't any powered coating on the inside. I am going to guess they will rust out in 5+ years.
two years on the Gladiator, and the driver side board is already rusting away. The powdercoat does not hold up. Also, they are a pain to install. It's honestly either a 3 man job or you need a bunch of jacks to hold the steps in place while you fiddle with the bolts.
