Fab Fours Tube Rock Sliders Reviews
I really liked the look of these for my Gladiator I so had to go with them. They arrived earlier than expected, we packaged in a thick cardboard box strapped to a pallet. The sliders were each packaged in their own giant fabric pouch separated by thick cardboard dividers, with the mounting hardware in a thick plastic bag packaged in a small box strapped to the packaging inside. There are no install instructions with these. Note if you do not have factory sliders on your Gladiator or something similar, you will need eight Mopar 06102165AA Bolts and washers to complete this install. Fortunately I did a little research prior and ordered those as well. Install was straightforward and easy. I discovered that the longer curved end of the sliders was the rear. I used a floor jack and the assistance of my lovely wife to install. If you line up the holes through the body seam first, the four bolts on the brackets that mount to the body floor line right up. Total install for both sides, not having anything existing to removed from the Gladiator, took just under 45min a side. These look great, seem durable, and mount solidly!
Received package and the box had minimal packing material and was destroyed during truck shipment, the black powder coating was damaged in multiple locations down to the bare steel, contacted customer service and they did a superb job getting a replacement order back out almost immediately with additional packing materials and the replacement sliders were received in almost perfect condition, I am very pleased with the service and the overall quality of the sliders, I did have a few issues during the installation, the installation required the removal of the rear fender bolt on both sides which cannot be reinstalled after the rock sliders are mounted, I installed the sliders and marked the location of the fender bolts and then removed the sliders, I then used a 5/16 drill bit to add a hole on both sliders and painted the holes, I found some replacement fender bolts with smaller diameter captive washers to replace the original fender bolts and installed the rock sliders now with 7 bolts along the pinch seam instead of the 6 the instructions say to install, these are very heavy duty and do not require the removal of any body mount bolts so I am very happy with the product and would highly recommend these.
I ordered FF tube sliders because they are USA made and watching their video about the company looked great. That being said, they had to be shipped twice due to damage (maybe their fault due to packaging) they assumed that I had OEM rails On the vehicle and I could re-use the bolts, but I did not have OEM rails, so I had to go to the hardware store for bolts, then after about an hour of trying to mount them, the holes just did not line up to the vehicle OEM holes and I had to take the sliders to have them drill out. This was not user error.
But on a bright note the Sliders are well made, heavy and should add a lot of protection.
