Crown Automotive Rough Trail Front Grab Handles Reviews
Very sturdy. Super fast (maybe 15 min per side) and easy install on a 1999 TJ. No plastic to trim on this model year. A must have if you're lifted. Much better than strap on grab handles for entry/exit.
I have handle like this on my new jeep. My husband just got a 2006 jeep and is fixing it up so I can climb into jeep.

The instructions recommend a 1 1/2" hole but I went with a 1" hole saw bit as per the video and it made for a perfect fit. It's tricky getting the rubber grips back on. Overall it was about an hour and 15 min install.
