Crown Automotive Stainless Steel Header Kit Reviews
High quality header and gasket kit. Seems to be a clone of the Banks Revolver style header at a lower price. The build quality seems sturdy and the welds are far superior to stock OEM, however are only exterior welds. There is a tube that sticks out further than the others, providing the scavenging torque tube effect supposedly, but I didn't notice much of a power increase.
Important note regarding fitment! You almost certainly will have to shave a bit off of the intake manifold to fit it in with the new header on the engine block. Exhaust flanges 1 and 6 are a hair's width too thick for the intake manifold to clear smoothly. Take a dremel or a file and shave down the manufacturing seam on the intake manifold where it passes exhaust flanges 1 and 6 and it will fit snugly. Before bolting everything down be sure to check that the shaved intake manifold is sitting flush against the block with gasket, or you will have a vacuum leak that can cause your RPMs to be very high on initial start up.
Was not a perfect fit. Had to shave off a little bit on the 1 and 6 flange for the intake manifold to fit. Otherwise it looks great!
