Reviews for Quadratec 12500 0210 Aluminum Modular EVAP Canister Skid Plate for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Highly recommend. Went on with ease.
Very quick/easy install (4 stars as I haven't tested it off road yet). Highly recommend to install BEFORE the transfer case skid as the two forward factory evap bracket bolts will be difficult to access otherwise.
I did not have any clearance issues, as noted by others, with my drive shaft/boot on my 2015 Willys JK 2-dr - see picture (note, I painted mine black with rubberized spray-on undercoat).
I got this because it is a required piece to complete the install of the Quadratec® Aluminum Modular Engine, Transmission, and Transfer Case Skid Plates for 07-17 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK. I run an AEV 2.5" XT lift kit with 315s. When I stuff the driver's rear wheel, the drive shaft boot, drive shaft weights, and boot hose clamp scrape across the inner side. The skid plate has some adjustability and I was able to move it enough that the drive shaft balance weights didn't hit it anymore, but the boot and hose clamp still do. I haven't quite figured out how to solve this problem yet, and it only happens at full stuff.
But otherwise, it is a super-easy install and like the rest of the skid plate system, it is totally beefy and otherwise well-engineered. I have no regrets and would buy it again.
This interfered with my rear driveshaft flexing the suspension offroad (2016 JKU 3 inch Teraflex lift, factory rear driveshaft). I should also mention that it will lower your protection of the EVAP at least 1". Save your money, and either find a better design, or consider relocation of the EVAP is my conclusion. I had to get laughed at my buddies on the first 10 feet of trail when it the metal on metal sound happened..crawled under it, and unbolted it, ticked off.
