Reviews for J.W. Speaker Model 8700 Evolution J2 Series 7" LED Headlight Pair for Jeep Wrangler JK
I've tried several different headlights with several different anti-flicker devices only to end up returning all of them. I haven't found a set of headlights that didn't flick in my 2017 JK. These DO NOT flicker in my Wrangler, and I am extremely impressed by the output of these lights. Going from stock halogen to these is literally a night and day difference. JW Speaker hit a home run building these lights specifically for the JK model! I feel that they are well worth the price.
Have had mine for 7 years and do a lot of night driving through rain, snow and ice. One finalaly died. I will be replacing it with the same.
Have had pair for 8 years, just now replacing.
Worth the money. These lights are super bright and installation was a breeze. I did have a flickering / "shorting out look" with the driver's side, but managed to correct it with the tips on their website (the before you return do this). They have been flawless since. The light / spread pattern is excellent.
Easy install with factory connector. The light output is better than the stock high beams on low.
So far they work and don’t flicker, will have to see them work at night to confirm. There is confusion about the anti flicker harness adapter that needs to be used in certain applications. Once I got the box it was easy enough to see what that application is, I’m including pictures of the box and the anti flicker harness adapter, it seems it only “plugs” into the ECE approved lights. So unless you have a European Jeep it is not needed and in no way can it even plug into the headlight DOT approved. You would think it would be that easy to list it in the description, but who knows, maybe it also fits an earlier model version of the light. Really excited to see them work at night, although to my eye it seems the drivers side light is pitched a little to the passenger side, but the passenger side light seems to be pretty straightforward. No idea why it’s pitched but if I have to I can always take it in to be looked at, or buy those headlight adapter rings meant for 2017-2018 Jeep JKs that already have LEDs from factory. Can’t wait until it gets dark out to take these for a test drive, see if all the hype is correct, seems like it will be, I have LED fog lights from JW speaker and so far no issues with those after a couple years of use.
