Not sure. But it looks rugged and it looks good.

Great upgrade for those who want a swing carrier body mounted and not an additional swing out before opening back end of jeep. I installed the kit on my 06 LJ with truck conversion from Gr8tops and it completed the look running a 33x12.50r15 and of course a Tactic wheel from Quadratec as 15x8. Wheel does sit little further off the body that id like but still looks great

Very pleased with the Rugged Ridge 11546.60 Spartacus HD Tire Carrier. Installed one on our 99' and made all the difference. Tailgate does not flex from spare tire movement, tailgate swing much stiffer than stock. Used stock tire mount and it integrated just fine. Going to install the entire kit on my 05'. Good stuff.

Excellent product! Super strong and allows for one hand opening of the trail gate.

This kit has all you need to beef up your tailgate! I updated to 33’s, had a corroded stock hinge....and this kit made the back of the TJ look brand new.

The most difficult part of this was removing stock torx bolts. Some came out easily, some needed heat, some needed reverse drill bits, some needed pilot drill holes thru the center of the bolt...definitely use an impact driver!

Rugged Ridge carrier is heavy duty and easy to install would buy again.

Really like this product. Ordering experience was great. The installation instructions were very easy to understand and all the mounting hardware was included. I was able to install it by myself but the tailgate was a little uneven and needed a second set of hands to hold it level while I tightened the bolts. Installed the carrier mount on a 2005 TJ with 32” 11.50 R15 spare tire.

Easy install, very sturdy. Mounted a 32" wheel... However, I have the same knock/banging in the tailgate, as stated by Richard G., when I hit pot hole or bump. Otherwise, like it a lot so far!

Straightforward assembly only issue so far is a new annoying knock from inside the door when the tire vibrates from a pot hole or bumps. Didn't have that issue before - mounted with a new 33 tire.

Nice and sturdy, Tire carrier sticks out further than I would like and it puts the tire on an angle . I don't understand why. I replaced the tire mount with stock mount works and looks fine now.
