Reviews for Kicker 6.5in Deluxe Sound Bar Speaker Kit for 97-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ
Speakers were easy to install and they look and sound great. I feel like they were a little overpriced or I would of gave a 5 rating. I do recommend them if you're ready to spend $190 bucks on 2 speakers. I will probably buy the 2 dash speakers next.
Can't really give the best rating as of yet because I have not experienced the Kicker 6.5 speakers. But if Kicker still makes quality speakers then I'm sure that I'll be more than satisfied with my choice of replacement sound bar speakers.
I've had them for just about 2 years and they're seem to have "blown" out. Still great sound and much much better than stock but I theres always that annoying rattle when I turn it up. I don't listen to music extremely loud just enough to feel it. Wish they would've lasted longer but they are many times better than stock!
The instal was a little difficult just getting everything lined up right. But they do look good in my TJ.
100% recommend, just don't turn the volume up to much if you want them to last.
All the work is done for you but pricy
Great spears...would have given a 5 rating but the eight number 8 Zinc flat head screws are silver...not black per instructions.
Let's just say I was impressed. After reading all the reviews about these I was worried that it was a mistake to order this upgrade. So let me start by saying the reviews I read about this product not matching up and not being plug and play I can only assume was because they didn't select the drop down menu and select from the 2 different choices for their specific year vehicle. This was the easiest instalation I think I have ever done. I will say I had to look up on the inet how the old speakers come out because I couldn't belive it was the same screw that holds screens on the speaker, also held the speaker in to the housing. The speaker is also glued in pretty solid and took a bit of prying. The metal ring adapters screw into the already existing holes from previous speakers and the speaker screws hold both speaker and screen. The wiring was a simple clip style disconnect and reconect. It literally took me approx 10 mins to do the first one and maybe 5 mins for the second. The only tool u need is a small phillips head screwdriver. They sound good but my next purchase is to get some wedges to angle them more forward or to figure a way to turn the pods vertical instead of horizontal. I have an upgraded deck so I have no problems with power, and this may be issue with stock radio. Great purchase I would highly recommend this upgrade.
Nothing spectacular but certainly a step up over the speakers that came in my 98 TJ.
Well made kit. Went in without issue. Better sound than stock.
As another reviewer said, the quality of the bolts that they sent were very poor. I don’t think they ever sent the right ones because they weren’t the size that the instructions indicated came with it. I bought new screws that fit and are much better. After all is said and done, the sound quality is a lot better than the stock system so I can’t be that mad about the wrong hardware.
I ordered These Kicker Premium Upgrade Speakers last August and finally got around to installing them today. They sound so much better than my old and worn-out stock speakers and I'm happy with the look, but did have a couple of issues during the install.
The 8 x 6-32 Pan Head Screws in the kit were not 6-32 and were not black. Since I waited so long to open the kit and install, Ii happily went to Ace Hardware to pick up the correct size and color, but then after mounting the Adapter Plates, found neither the 6-32 screws I had purchased, nor the silver screws that arrived with the kit fit into the mounting holes. So off to my drill to enlarge the holes in the adapter plates and got everything tightly connected. Really just a small issue, and easily corrected with a drill bit but disappointing.
