Reviews for Smittybilt 2834 Nut-Sert Tool
Tool is great... nutserts not so much...
Works great!!!!! Too easy!!!!
The shop told me without this tool you will regret trying to cheap out.... The nut and bolt method is a terrible way to expand them so but this tool. 4 starts because I got a used tool which isn't had but I paid for a new one. Quadratec took care of it so no worries.
Worked well for me. It had the 6 mm head in it which is what I needed to use I did not change heads/sizes.
took a bit to get used to it the main thing is don't pull to hard or you will pull out the threads on your nutsert and you will have to retap it
broke after the first time trying to tighten nutsert but smittybilt warranty department was easy to work with and replace.
Piece of JUNK!!! Broke at the head on the second Nutsert I was installing. Should be made of STEEL not CAST ALUMINUM. Can't take the force needed to compress them tight.
I ordered the tool and from XRC fender armor. Tool broke on the 5th rivnut. Completely dissatisfied. Now I have a jeep full of 9/16 holes and I can’t install my body armor. Come on Quadratec, you guys can do better.
Tool broke after 9 nutcerts just as others reported. Do not recommend.
not very well built. broke on me the 3rd nut inserts. i wouldn't recommend buying it!! go on amazon and find a better one.
