Reviews for Zone Offroad Products 4" Lift Kit for 97-06 Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited TJ
Very complete kit for the money and made in the USA.
I ordered the Zone 4 inch lift after weeks of searching and reading reviews. I'm extremely happy with my decision. The kit came with everything I needed. Took me about 2 full days to remove my old junk and install. I'm just a backyard mechanic and I had no issues installing it. The packaging was great and everything was already sorted and labeled so I wasn't digging through a huge bag of bolts. The quality of the springs and control arms are better then what I expected. After everything was tightened up I took it for a ride and it rides better than stock. I had to do the tcase drop until I can do the sye, and also installed the rear upper align cam bolt plates which helped with most vibes, but not all (but I do have a bad ujoint so that may be the issue). I netted over 4 inches and I also installed a 1 1/4" bl so now my 33s look tiny. I did order an adjustable front track bar from a different place which I recommend rather then drilling the hole and relocating the stock one. . All in all I am really happy I went with this lift. Rides and performs great and I get a lot of compliments.
Great kit! Took me about 4 days to do mine but it was completely because my Jeep wouldn’t give up some of its original hardware.
Only problem:
1 I installed the 1” t-case drop and still had driveline vibrations. Bad enough to not be able to drive. In order to fix this I also had to install adjustable upper control arms, front and rear, and a SYE. I had a hunch going in that this would be required. So I would recommend that you purchase those items when you do this lift. Along those same lines be wear of the t-case linkage lowering part. Again my trouble was with my Jeep and not the zone kit. But if you end up getting the adjustable uppers and a SYE you don’t need to install the 1” lowering kit.
2 there are cam plates for the rear lower control arms. They were a pain in the ass to make work. I ended up not using them. I just ordered the adjustable upper control arms. That was really my only problem with the kit
3 not really a problem just something I found funny is that you end up using a mix or hardware that zone provides and using some of the original hardware. Not sure how zone decided what got new and what got old. But I would of been fine paying more to get all new hardware.
Great kit! If I ever had to lift a Jeep again I would 100% go with zone! Looks great and rides amazing. I have already recommended it to a few people!
Only complaint is that the new shocks don't come with boots had to use the boots from my previous shocks was a pain getting them off and on to the new shocks other than that it's a great kit
First things first. The Quadratec customer service is second to none. My kit was delivered with missing rear sway bar bushings. Quadratec made sure I had them the next day. The lift kit was a easy install ride quality is better then my worn out 18 year old suspension. Only 200 miles since installed so far all is well.
Great product for a great price and step by step instructions make it super easy to install
Very impressed with the quality and value... This was the first lift i'd ever installed and everything fit exactly as it should! My 03 TJ drives better now than it did stock with 70K miles on it. every bolt and washer needed to install was included and labeled clearly. I installed in my driveway with basic hand tools and some imagination. Only thing not mentioned in the directions was to make it easier remove the tranny skid plate before front lift install. buy it! you wont be disappointed.
This is a nice lift for the money and I am satisfied with the height and ride. I can still shift into all gears including 4wheel high and low. If you are not experienced in installing lifts like me then be aware that some steps in the instructions should not be followed in order, as they are far harder to complete because other parts you installed will be in your way.
This kit is in no way complete, but is a good start.
Excellent kit, very complete. On and off road driveability was greatly improved, but beware! This is not a backyard job. Experience with lifting vehicles is definitely required. Be prepared to spend AT LEAST 8 hours.
