I have a 1979 CJ5 with holes on the side panel to mount a spare tire carrier. Will this one fit?
Yes this will fit, this is an original replacement part for the CJ series up to 1983 (CJ-7 Not Included)

Will this fit on 79’ cj5? No liftgate and for some reason when I bought it years ago one of the threads was cut off from previous owner.
You would need to modify for this to fit that location. This will need rear supports created if not used in the original location on the right side rear fender

Looks like your options are few for a 1967 CJ5 for the spare tire. will the tailgate support a 33" spare tire with this bracket? or do you have a swing arm option that will work on the 1967?
The tailgates on CJ's were not designed to carry weight like they do today. You would need to bolster the tailgate to be able to handle a carrier and wheel package. These brackets are designed for side mounting on the rear fender where there are structural supports, and unfortunately we do not have any bumpers and tire carriers for earlier CJ's prior to 1976

Why wont this fit a 1977 CJ5?
Because the quarter panel is not supported properly to hold the weight of a wheel on the side. You would have to modify for that to work.
