Reviews for OMIX 11607.01 7" Fender Flare Set for 87-95 Jeep Wrangler YJ
Covers tires I hope
Looks and had thembefore work great
I have a 94 Jeep YJ. The front fender flairs were a direct bolt on. The extra width was just what I wanted to cover the wider tires. THEY LOOK GREAT ! ! The rear went on just a smooth as the front. A little trimming on the back half of wheel well, clamp in place, mark holes, remove and drill new mount holes, bolt on with provided hardware. I will attach pics of before and after. Look at the install instructions provided on web site and you will see what you need to do. I did drill a few extra holes to make sure it fits tight against the body. Great product ! !
These flares look awesome on my Jeep! Like other reviewers I put the rear fenders up to the tub and said these will never work! But what I did was match up the front of the rear flare and clamped it in place, then slowly clamped all the way around. I then marked the sheet metal and cut. I pre drilled holes in the fender, clamped it back in place then center punched the sheet metal, drilled the holes and mounted.
Totally worth the effort because I'm running 33 12.50's and after removing the old flares I could see where I had been rubbing and bending the sheet metal. And the Jeep looks so much better.
one had a crack it was replaced no problem
fit well cuts down on the mud in the window because of my wide tire!
The fit could be better. But for the comparable price… guess you get what you pay for.
Rear fender arch does not match the sheet metal wheel arch. Plastic needs to be trimmed to fit the body.
I like them, this is my 2nd set. Down side is they break easily and the color fades quickly..
Wrangler YJ - Front flares fit perfectly, however the rear flares bottom bolts holes are 41 1/2 inches when the YJ needs 34 3/4. I was told to cut them to fit which I disagree with since cutting it would show way to much body. I was told the rear flare are made for a TJ however this product is listed to fit a YJ and it does not!!!!!
The front flares fit perfectly. The rear flares would not fit even if you tried to cut/modified them. This is due to the major difference in the arch of the new flare versa the arch of the old flare (3-4" difference). I ended up putting a set of narrow flares on the rear. So, needless to say I AM NOT HAPPY! Somebody needs to make this right to me.
