Reviews for Quadratec 3.5" Coil Spring Suspension Lift Kit with FOX IFP Mono-Tube Shocks for 97-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ & Unlimited
Haven't tested it much but it looks great! rides softer than stock but I have noticed its a little bouncier. maybe that is due to it being a short arm lift kit.
This lift is good quality, I installed myself took me 8 hours by myself. Overall happy with lift wish the installation instructions where better. Ride quality is slightly better than stock due to the Fox shocks.
For context- I am not a professional mechanic, I have worked on my 2002 TJ often, I watch a lot of videos and consult with professionals before during and after doing work. I would rate this as advanced work but not crazy hard. Once completed it looks great and functions really well- I would give 5 stars if that is where it stops, but... As other reviewers stated, instructions don't give you the whole answer. I did use spring compressors and can't see how not to use them- made the spring mounting very easy. Parts of the instruction seemed to gloss over what was being done- this equals frustration. Transfer case drop- instructions complete failure. I ultimately put on a cable shifter due to the minimal clearance one gets with the bolts on the bracket included in this kit- I am very happy with that decision. I took my time and completed this over about four days on different weekends- kept the stress low and allowed me to get the hardware that I needed- using some of the original rusted stuff was not what I wanted. I would recommend this kit, just realize that you need to research procedures to get it done.
Super happy with the way it looks. Install definitely not for rookies, between old bolts and old parts needed a few extra things but came out well and rides nice.
Lift ended up higher than the 3.5" advertised. Tj looks good, quality appears good, instructions could better but if you're tackling a lift on your own you will figure it out.
It's a great product. Love the fox shocks. I felt like at times I didn't have the best instructions but overall it was pretty straight forward. Do watch lots of YouTube videos before though!. I wish it came with all new hardware for every bolt you remove because some where really worn out. I'm happy with this product though and would happily purchase it again and recommend it to people I know
High quality parts. Low quality instructions. Lift is larger than three inches.
Instructions are horrible. The transfer case drop caused my gears to grind so I'm without four wheel drive until I figure it out. There should be pages more worth of steps. From how to remove things to putting things back. One example is it doesn't have a new bolt for the rear track bar or tell you to put one in.
I bought this kit along with a few other upgrades to go along with it. When I installed the lift kit it took about 10 hours to really do it right and get the alignment perfect. The kit says 3.5" lift but when I was done it was 5.5" lift... after about a month it settled to 5" but still much more then I was expecting. With the added 1.5" inches it lifted I had to do an sye kit and different adjustable upper control arm in the rear to get the pinion angle right so the driveshaft vibration would go away also you will need new extended brake line as the stock one will no longer fit correctly and an adjustable front and rear track bars (rear track bar bracket supplied will not center axle with this much lift). Don't forget a drop pitman arm! All and all this kit rides nice with the fox shocks.
