Reviews for Quadratec Delrin Replacement Door Hinge Bushings for 07-24 Jeep Wrangler JK & JL 2 Door
Well - seemed like a great idea ... last fall I installed these before putting my doors back on - I THINK I put a little grease on the door pins but honestly can't say I did with 100% certainty - definitely had the grease out when I did it. Regardless, I went to take the doors off three days ago - the driver side slid up and off perfectly, just as I expected. The passenger side door is so stuck, I don't have any idea what I'm going to do. Door swings in the sleeves just fine but the door will NOT move upward at all, there is no give whatsoever. I was not in any accidents, nothing weird happened over the Winter. They are so tight I don't see anyway to get grease in there - guess I can try to blow WD40 in from the bottom? Afraid I'm going to have to get a jack under the door. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Easy install of new bushings. Unfortunately, they sound worse than the old metal ones. Sounds like somebody getting out of an old 78 Monte Carlo…squeaky and loud. Followed prep instructions to the letter; did not have to force the bushings into the hinges at all.
I only gave them a two because. Three of them were good and one of them I started filing on the hinge to get it in after removing some material it still wasn't fitting and then I tried a different one. Well one of them was bigger then the others and I sanded that piece instead of filing on the door anymore,
Installed 4 bushings per instructions. Worked smoothly for a few months and through the first door removal. After the second season door hinges now seize and sound awful. No idea how much work will be required to remove the doors this season. The fit is so tight that not even penetrating lubricant will get between the hinge pin and bushing. Any suggestions about how to remove the doors and replace with better bushings?
My doors every season seize and require attention by the dealer, to remove. (They did hinge alignment too) Installed these easy enough, but again, the following season, the doors were seized!
These are so far off as in fitment it's not even funny. They are way too big to fit. Even with modification they still do not fit. Not sure if I got a bad batch or what but they are junk to me. I wasted time and money on these. I would not recommend these to anyone with a 2 door Jk. Save your money and time and look elsewhere for a better product.
