These shifter knobs look great. Replace both in my '92. Putting the shift pattern plate on was no problem. Warm the top of the knob for a minute with a hair dryer. Put as much of the plate into the grove as you can, then just "walk" a pick or small screw driver around the edge of the knob and lay the plate in. Like putting a tire on a rim.
