Reviews for Power Stop K2798-36 Front & Rear Z36 Extreme Performance Brake Kit for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Brakes are installed and my stopping power has increased significantly. The rotors look great. Brakes are quiet.
Huge improvement overstock brakes. A must for 37" tires.
Tremendous improvement over the stock brakes, specifically where fade is concerned when coming quickly to a full stop from highway speeds.
With big tires, the stock brakes fade badly and can get scary... Fade is almost completely eliminated, they grip and keep on gripping all the way to zero.
I highly recommend this upgrade.
Great upgrade cost just about the same as getting everything from autozone or advanced auto
Huge upgrade from stock, very much needed if you are going to a bigger tire size without going to a big brake kit.
These brakes and rotors actually make a huge difference with larger tires. The rotors are labeled front or rear and the directions are great for easy install. Great value and even comes with grease packets.
Quality
I searched several sites and read a bunch of reviews. Most mention that they work very well and some mention that they did not make any difference. This kit was listed as being on sale from Quadratec so I decided to order them. I have a JK with a 3" lift and 34" tires. The stock brakes did not seem to hold up well. I did not expect to see a big difference in stopping over the stock brakes. I am usually skeptical about buying something that seems cheaper than the well-known high-end brand as well as upgrading to larger calipers. Upgrading to the drilled and slotted rotors seems to provide a little better stopping and control during the initial use. I have about 800-1000 miles on them and have noticed a clicking noise between 15-35 mph. I did not see anything about this during the initial searches for the products. I found several posts after the fact. I called Power Stop and asked about the issue and it is a known issue on some vehicles. It seems to be airflow across the holes or slots. The noise sounds similar to putting a playing card on the spokes of a bicycle. I was told that it may go away after use or not at all. I am giving 4 stars for ease of install and what appears to be better stopping over the stock brakes. And for calling support and them being honest telling me that it's a known issue for some vehicles.
No issues
Great product. Super easy to install the clips for the pads are kinda weak so I made an upgrade there, overall I’m impressed with the product.
