Reviews for Quadratec 2 Bike Folding Bike Rack for 2" Receiver Hitch
Capable of folding so I have access to my cargo area.
Decent rack for the $$. I would prefer that the top piece that the bikes rest on would be about an inch longer to give a little more space between the bikes.
Great product, won’t fit in my E bike.
Overall, I like the bike rack. It does everything as promised and is good quality. My issue is with the hitch pin. This one has been designed to screw in like a bolt and once screwed in, you put a keeper pin through the drilled hole. I wanted to use a locking hitch pin for security, but it won't fit because of the welded nut inside the tube. In my opinion, don't use the screw-in pin - just provide a standard pin or a locking pin.
The quality of this product is excellent. And the price point makes it an amazing value. There are not a ton of good products out there especially made for Jeep wranglers to work with the spare tire. My only comment would be that it could cone with a locking hitch pin. The one that comes with it has a hole to lock it but it is very small so it is a challenge to find a lock to fit it. Well done quadratec!
Very easy assembly and easy installation. So great that it drops out of the way for access to the cargo area. I added a hitch stabilizer to eliminate all movement at the receiver. Would certainly recommend this if you are in the market.
This bike rack is a great deal and very good quality. I'm replacing a cheap rack the rattled and wiggled around. This is does not wiggle at all thanks to the tightening bolt. it is heavy but sturdy. The only issue I found was when folding or unfolding the top part of the rack where the bikes sit. The tolerance for lining up the holes and inserting the retention pin are very small. You have to line it up EXACTLY or the pin will not go all the way through. Still no regrets though, especially due too the great price.
got the bike rack a couple weeks or so before I bought a new bike, the design was straight forward and well thought out, only problem the box was missing the items beside the actual rack and base, figured out the positioning going but the manual but had to use some bungee cords I had to help secure the bike to the rack, wasn't really very secure but I made it home after stopping once to re tighten things once on the way. would like to review the rack with all the items again later. so far 4/5
As a bike rack, it's awesome. The thing that gets me is having to buy a 5/8" drill bit to open up the 1/2" hole for the hitch pin. Beware Jeepers
Great product! This fits my 2018 JLUR but there was some tight fitting around my 35” BFG KO2, spare tire. The ring where you put the cable thru to secure your bike presses up against my spare. It’s too much pressure where I can’t lower the rack to open my back door.
So, I did some of my own modding. I drilled and extra hole where you connect to hitch. There was still about 3” left inside the hitch, I felt comfortable with my mod. I was able to give some space between the ring and my spare. I was also able to lower the bike rack to open my door. Just a heads up for anyone else who is wondering will this clear my 35” spare tire.
