Reviews for Quadratec Interior Door Handle for 82-06 Jeep CJ, Wrangler YJ and TJ
The lock print is on the wrong side of the lock compared to the ones that were originally on my TJ. Quality seems alright and functions crisply, but the handle feels like it's going to break pretty easily.
Handle replacement feels like its decent quality, you will cringe every time you open the door because of how hard it was and how long it took to install, but that is just how Jeep designed the doors. Looses one star for the "Lock" print on the wrong side, and another one for not coming with the bolt if you lost the old one.
The plastic is cheaply made and it's not of OEM quality. It's a quick replacement part if you're looking to replace the door handle if you're flipping a Jeep for a quick sale...
fits perfectly, but one of them broke a week after installation
Plastic backing is very thin and weak around hole where the screw to secure handle goes. Tightened it down and went right through the hole, had to loosen it up and find a tiny washer to make it work. But it is pretty much the only option out there for a replacement handle that I could find, so cheap China stuff is it. Works fine otherwise.
Fit perfectly but is cheaply made. Handle broke in less than a week.
Handle fit fine on my YJ half doors but I couldn't use the existing metal connecting rod. I had to make my own new rod out of 3/16" steel rod to make it 3/8" longer. The end of the original rod was also different than on the new pull handle.
The Handle arrived with no issue. but there is NO SCREW... I was informed after the fact that Original Screw must be used... if I had the original screw and handle and I would NOT have had to order a replacement. The reason I purchased this Handle was due to the fact it did not say I had to purchase other parts separate. Not Happy
Not only was the lock printed on the wrong side, the spring was as very weak and thin. I had to rebuild these with some of my old handle parts. Very unhappy with the product. Seems like they had this problem for a couple of years, but still selling this inferior product. Makes me wonder what the quality of the other products are.
Cheap. Cheap door rod clips broke, and shortly after that the pull handle broke. I wish they had a better engineered product.
