Reviews for Quadratec Maximum Duty 3.5in Coil Spring Suspension Lift Kit for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK 4 Door
I like this lift. I installed it yesterday on my 2012 Rubicon and put 100 miles on it today and no problems. I'm running 285 tires and they look fine on there. 35" would look better. The lift took a while to install, because, I'm not a mechanic and it's still all new to me. The directions were spot on and not hard to follow. One thing I had to do that the directions didn't say was, adjust the drag link to make the steering wheel go back to center. It is easy to do, if you don't then the Jeep thinks you are skidding and the traction control goes crazy.
Easy install, I would highly recommend a drop Pittman arm. I had a flighty steer until I installed the drop Pittman arm. The directions are a little vague on the camper bolts. If the are installed as per the directions they do nothing. On other lift kits I noticed the axle gets rotated out at the bottom to correct the camber. Clarification on this would be great. In order for the camber bolts to work you must oblong the holes, it suggests to use a hammer and punch to knock out the tabs (good luck with that) I had to use a die grinder. Over all I am satisfied with the ride and quality of it.
Very thorough instruction included with the kit. Installed as advertised. A true 3.5" lift kit that can be installed at home.
I wanted to wait about a year before writing this review so I could see how it really holds up. I use my JKU on the beach alot and some trail riding. Mostly it is my daily driver. I have put about 10,000 miles on my JKU since putting this lift on and it has held up very well. The ride is a bit stiff which is the only downside but its a jeep so what do you expect. There is no sagging, and it has held an alignment very well. I am currently running 35s with it. I also put on a new front trac bar with the lift.
Looks good but better lifts for more $$
If u like to feel every bump in the road this is the lift kit for you!
I bought a Jeep with this lift kit installed already. I'm currently removing it and installing new and improved parts. This ride is extremely stuff. Every bump literally rattles my windshield. My soft top linkage arms are rattling and my tailgate is knocking around. It's not for a everyday drivers. Spend more money and get a lift kit that has more components that will provide a better ride. This is a basic lift for people that don't have alot to spend. And that's ok but if I could have installed my own choice of lifts on this Jeep, it would not have been this kit. Good luck.
