Reviews for Quadratec Maximum Duty 2.5" Coil Spring Suspension Lift Kit for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK 4 Door
This kit is a great place to start, if you're thinking about lifting your Jeep. Very smooth ride on road and works as it should on the trail. Plus the price is great vs. looking at other kits and I was able to add a bunch of other parts (front/rear adjustable track-bar, sway bar disconnects, dual steering stabilizer, control arm relo brackets, coil retainers, brake line hoses, etc.) One thing I changed, was that I sanded down the shocks and painted to match my Jeep color and I think it turned out really good. Overall, very happy with this purchase.
Install wasn't to bad, did it by myself in about a day with just hand tools. A month later took it on a 3000 mile road trip and it did just fine. The rear track bar relocation bracket caused some issues. Once installed the hardware interfered with the spring. I upgraded to an adjustable track bar and took the relocation bracket off. This kit should just come with an adjustable track bar.
Installed in May 2019. Everything was easy to put on. Four months later after a couple of 4x4 trips I noticed some bad rattling and discovered that the upper rear shock bushings had come out of the shocks on both sides separating the shocks from the tie straps. I had to make and install “shims” that slide over each side of the T strap to hold the bushing in place. I don’t know if this has happened to anyone else but I hope Quadratec does something about this product problem.
not happy with the rear shocks on this. I have lost the upper rear bushings already and only have them less than a year and the lower bushings on the rear are not holding up that great either.
Just a word to the wise I'm shutting down my 2013 JK sport unlimited for the second time for the rear axle tracking support bracket cracking away from the Dana 44 rear axle on the on the left side. Once I can see for welding flaw etc on the Dana but twice now leads me to believe that this kit (8.0 shocks) puts an inordinate amount of tension on this bracket. Beside the 33's I run on stock rims and this lift there are no other mods. Big thing here is it's not even an off roader.
