Reviews for Quadratec Maximum Duty 2.5" Coil Spring Suspension Lift Kit for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK 4 Door
I got 3” of lift with this but I expect it to settle (anvil JKU in pics). Drilling, pressing the rear bushing tops w mounting hardware, and getting the hardware on the passenger/front shock top were the most time consuming. Relatively easy other than that - and it was my first time. We’ll see how it does on the drives.
Not much of a change in height visually but definitely noticeable when sitting next to factory suspension. Gives it just enough lift to bolster its look without getting crazy. Adding bumpers and winch so I wanted a bit more clearance. My Jeep is really just a daily commuter with occasional off road jaunts. Install was a first time endeavor and took 8 hours. Only real issue was front track bar. Might want an adjustable one but seems fine with factory one. Will check again after bumpers and with are installed.
Great lift kit, easy install. I did the install by myself in about 3 hours on a 99 TJ. Had to cut my stock front shocks off but other than that everything was straight forward and easy just like the instructions say. I was hoping for a better ride, and it may settle in and ride better as time goes by but initially it is stiff and the rear is a little bouncy, like it springs up off bumps to the point of fully extending the shocks. By my measurements the 2.5" lift gave me about 3.25" of lift from stock. I attribute part 9f that to my stock suspension sagging and part (hopefully) to the lift springs being new and have no sag yet. I do have a bit of driveline vibration that was not there before. I am going to leave it for a couple months to see 8f the springs settle and sag some before trying to correct it. The tabs the directions say to know out for the rear control arms axle mount are all but impossible to just knock out. I used a drill to slot them. Overall a quality kit with good instructions. I got the Nitro shocks, I'm sure better shocks would improve the ride.
Myself and my cousin did this in a matter of hours. Very simple and the ride feels better then stock. Deff worth it if you want a nice lift kit without needing to spend a lot of $
Install of the kit well under the four hour recommended time allowance. Look great very happy with it.
Looks good rides good fairly straight forward to install
Great lift kit and has a great price. Easy to install if you have machanical ability. I did not need the brake line relocation pieces for my 09 4 door Xunlimited edition ( just so you don't feel like you have to make them work).
Love the look it gives the jeep had to stay on the conservative side because it's my wife's everyday driver. Install was mostly simple but the springs took a little inginouity to get them on the back. And I don't know what gorilla they had to bend the front brake brackets but that was the hardest part of the change took 2 hours to get them out.
I will say, i really, really, really like this kit. 2.5 lift may not seem like much, but i just wanted a bit of a lift for the look., For me it is the perfect balance. It was very easy to install. The only challenge was the rear link relocater that needed installed. Required some odd drill bit sizes and a perfectly sized drill chuck and a small enough drill...odd because the large bit needs a big drill that will not fit as they say. However if you are semi-smart and creative it will not prove to be too much of a problem. I am very happy with the ride quality and how it all feels after coming together. It took be about 6 hours of patient installation to accomplish. I am very happy with this.
Great lift kit. Great quality parts ride quality is superb. Install instructions were great you can actually see what the pictures were telling you what to do. I would buy this lift for another jeep in a heartbeat. Can't complain about anything.
