Easy install dose it's purpose

Nice idea but after three months the threaded portion already covered in rust.

IMO this should come with the hood mount kit. Pretty sure I could easily jam a small screwdriver in it and turn open the lock mechanism but I'm not gonna try it and waste my money.

locks are difficult once they are out in the weather for a while.

Great at first, then it gets rusty from the rain and after only a couple months the locking mechanism stops working and you can spin it free.

Worked quite well, and as advertised... until after only a few months of highway driving and a few DAYS of off-road driving, I watched it fall off and disappear on the highway.

Great at first, with exposure to weather they stop turning off completely, Cannot remove these now if I wanted too. Stay away, they are junk.

Maybe I am missing something. I have tried two of these now. Neither of them actually "lock." Both were easily spun off of the post in both the locked and unlocked position.

I'm sorry to say it, but this thing is exactly as others have posted. Its cheaply made and strips out easily. It wouldn't stop someone who wants your jack. Great idea though. Listen to your customer reviews, redesign it and we will buy it.
