Reviews for Quadratec 2pc Window Visors for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
love them nice addition to my build. I did not use the 3M tape, tried it in place. peeled the tape off, installed without, works great and windows close with no problems I definitely recommend this product. Love the low profile and they still get rid of that buffeting noise running without them.
Fits snugly even without the adhesive.
Works well, great price, fast shipping. The color is pretty nice, looks good day and night. The install wasn't hard at all; but wow it's a tight fit. As another reviewer said, you don't even need to use the included 3m tape. The fit is so tight you really don't have to worry about them ever slipping out. Definitely satisfied with my purchase
I chose these for their "boxier" appearance over the other brands. My A pillar is a bit wider so that took some getting used to. The only complaint I have is the backing strips for the 3M tape...can you guys make it one consecutive strip vice multiple tiny cuts? Peeling those tiny single ones doesn't work to well with a guy with big hands.
Was a bit hesitant about these vs. the 'other brand' which stick to the door itself with 3M, however I'm absolutely thrilled I went with my gut and purchased these. They look so much more slick and stock, with aggressive curves/lines that match the shape of door. As well, they aren't 'hanging off the vehicle', so to speak, as such less prone to snagging something on the trail.
I have two pro tips for anyone prospective buyers:
1) First and foremost, don't use the 3M adhesive strips. For one, this thing fits in the weather stripping very snug, and once fully in, they don't budge an inch. For another, the weather stripping is a felt/fabric material; I'm not even sure what the 3M is adhering to, and in my opinion would just mess up the fabric. Just leave the top layer on the 3M and don't use its adhesion.
2) Don't listen to the instructions which say to start at the top of the door. Instead, set the bottom in first. The bottom plastic is both smaller and a bit 'sharper', leaving you with less leverage and give to 'bend' the plastic into place, as well as being more prone to scratching the rubber seals at the bottom of the window.
All in all, very happy and would buy again.
These visors look very good and well made. They are tight and not loose in the window track.Take your time. I put masking tape on my rubber around window frame so they would not scratch. You might have to bend them a little so they go in easier.I found this a lot easier.
Fit great. Could not get them to adhere all the way around, but did not seem to make any difference. Installed better if you reverse the directions and install the front lower area first.
They pop right in will minimal effort. Strong, durable, and functional.
They were OK for a while, but I've had them on the Jeep for a few years and now they are pretty beat up. They are no longer shiny and somewhat clear. Instead thay are very clowdy and slightly white. I had vent visors on a different vehicle for 15 years and they were still shiny and clear. Not really sure why these faded so much. Otherwise they are fine and still do their job which is to allow for the window to be slightly open and rain doesn't come in. I'm just a little picky is all. Maybe in the spring I'll replace them.
