Reviews for Mopar 68026937AB Hardtop Foam Blocker Seal Kit for 11-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
All parts came as ordered and insulated as they were suppose to
Lack of directions and a "one-size-fits-all" approach to the kit makes it harder than it should be. This is a MOPAR issue. I watched multiple videos and photos and still don't believe I did it correctly. It is further complicated by the fact that when removing the old foam, it's hard to tell what it originally looked like. I recommend taking photos before removing old and look online for the MOPAR PDF on JK Water Leak Diagnosis; the PDF is helpful but again the "one-size-fits-all" kit makes it a bit difficult.
Factory Equipment
Will hopefully help a small leak in my hardtop when it rains.
Similar to one of the other reviews it seems like my Wrangler is finally staying dry after seemingly weeks of New Jersey winter rain. I, too, took off a star because there are no instructions on how to install the foam.
All told, good product!
After having this product installed or about a week with rain mostly every day, it seems the inside of our Jeep is still dry. Hopefully it takes a few years before the foam gets permanently crushed again.
I took a star off because the only directions I could find (not even linked in the description of this product) amounted to "remove and replace the old foam". Unfortunately, if someone "fixed" it before but messed it up, you're stuck completely guessing where things go. The LEAST they could do is have a basic drawing of the Freedom panels and an arrow to the area each particular sized-foam piece goes. Where do the three pieces of tubing go? No idea until I read other reviews. Hint: inside weather stripping where the windshield and two panel meet.
For $35 of foam strips, I would expect at least a small piece of paper with basic instructions.
Product appears to be good quality, of course it hasn't rained since I replaced the seals. I ended up with 3 extra seals, I'm guessing they were optional or for a different roof?? Diagrams would have helped, instead I matched up the seals by shape and size to the worn ones on each roof section.
Great price, but would be nice to have instructions with diagram, I have 3 rubber seals and don't know where they go.
Only reason for 3 stars is because there was no instructions included
I haven't installed yet but looks like it should work
