Reviews for Quadratec Gen II LED Headlights for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
The light is brighter than the EOM headlights for sure. However, Im disappointed on how dirty the light output is. Its broken and more intense in some areas on the rod than others. It almost looks like your driving with mud on your headlights.
Installed these on my wife's 2013 JKU. We live up in the mountains and she has always complained about the weakness of her headlights. We had just been talking with a friend who installed LED Headlight on one of his older vehicles and he was raving about the difference. Although these are brighter, they just appear as a spot light with little to no spread. Quite distracting, actually, like your driving in a tunnel. I think these are going to have to come off and go back to stock.
Lights are great quality easy to install but I replaced a set of Truck-Light head lights I had for years. The Quadratec lights are not as bright and the beam makes me feel like I am driving in a tunnel for some reason. It almost feels like the beams need to be adjusted.
I bought these for x-mas based on reviews. The lights in general looks be good quality and fit well. My biggest issue is the light beam itself. On the sides the light output doesn't seem to go far enough to the sides. My biggest beef is an area that shines on the right side of the road that is very bright. Almost like a spot light is concentered on just that lane. Unfortunately I bought these over the 30 day return policy for a xmas gift or they would be going back.
These lights failed on me withing 6 months. I would have just swapped them out under warranty but they were unavailable. I liked the look and wish they would have held up.
Lights arrived with a torn open PWM package. Lights would not work. No continuity in wiring harness. Re-installed original lights which did work.. I have ordered from Quadratec many times before with good results. Appears to me to have been defective harness that was placed in the plastic package which obviously had been previously open since it was torn. Did take pic-see attachment
Low beam LED works the high beam flickers initially but enough to fail safety inspection. Then the head lights randomly wouldn’t turn off.
So i was super excited about these! They were just what i was looking for.... only when it isn’t snowing. The lights DO NOT heat up enough to melt the snow. It was a scary dark ride home tonight! Will be contacting to see if can trade these for ones that have a heater feature.
