Reviews for Quadratec Mirrors for 97-06 Wrangler TJ with Tube & Fabric Doors
Great mirror for price
These mirrors do whistle above 40 mph and vibrate as other reviews state. They do not move after they have been set and for backroad riding they are great!
Great view on mirrors! However, they make a whistling sound while driving and they stick out really far. I had a comment that they look like the kid with the big ears in school! LOL! Overall, great product!
I bought these because I was installing fishbone tube doors . Installation looked easy by directions and u tube Video . Not so the t40 bolts in the hinge plates are lock tight in . I let them soak over night in penetrating fluid used heat on the bolt no help the head stripped out had to drill em out only to find the nuts inside the frame rusted and broke free . Now I’m looking for a new windshield frame . Total headache .
they on'y lasted 3 years till the 3 screws got stripped
I can live with the whistle and vibration. pro easy to install looked great (that'll be in the con) able to adjust easily for tight spot on a trail. con the reflective coating is already coming off have spots that are unable to see and its only been about 16 months and been having problems with customer service getting back with me for the 3 year warranty
Neat concept, poor execution. The 2 piece bracket is nearly impossible to tighten sufficiently to prevent vibrating loose. A single bracket with offset mounting boss would be a better design.
Love the old school look, but they whistle and they wobble. It's very hard to see when driving at highway speeds.
Look to be well made, except for the high pitch whistle as stated in the other review. Bought them because I couldn't see the passenger mirror with the soft uppers in. Previous owner had installed the mirror relocation brackets...still can't see the passenger side mirror...
These mirrors are great quality and easy to install. I have had several sets of these mirrors on a tj and a few cj models. However... this Quadratec style has a major flaw that needs to be addressed. The rubber trim around the mirror has two ribs designed into it. These ribs produce a very high whistle that drives me nuts at speeds over 30mph. I ended up using a razor to trim the ribs off.
