Reviews for Quadratec Quick Release Mirrors with Round Head for 97-18 Jeep Wrangler TJ, Unlimited, Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK
Looks great, have had them for almost a year now. No rusting and stay still at highway speeds (if you tighten them down with pliers that is) they are a little tricky to get them adjusted right, but if you have somebody help you it will be a breeze.
They are easy to install and work as intended. If you've ever had safari mirros before, you know they vibrate / look blurry and whistle at highways speeds. These have the same compromises as all other safari mirrors. Not being on the door hinges, you can keep the bracket on year-round, which is nice.
I like them just wished I. Could use them with the doors on also. Passenger side with door on not so good
Very easy to fit providing you can remove the fasteners for the bracket (i needed a little extra leverage). The mirrors are a little bit limited in field of view compared to the door mirrors.
these went on fairly easy. You might have a bolt that won't come out to mount these. Mine did and had to re-thread for the bolt. Yes they vibrate some and my 99 jeep is not a car so I expect it :)
Perfect for the price, and they look great. One recommendation, tighten them at the mounting bracket as much as you can or they will fold in around 55 or 60mph.
Used them all summer. Have to wrench it to get them tight for highway use...which means you can't get them off in a hurry if it's starting to rain and you need your doors on pronto. Still worth the money though.
Not too bad. I was worried about the whistling (and it will happen over about 45 mph. But it was not too bad and mirrors held location well.
Very good set of mirrors. Minimal vibration even at highway speeds, but did notice the slight whistling sound above 50 mph. I would give 5 stars if the passenger side mirror was convex shaped, you know "objects are closer than they appear in mirror" but with a flat mirror I have to chose to see my fender or see traffic on my right.
The mirrors work fine for the price. You do need to use tools to get the mirror thumbscrew tight enough so they don't move, but that's not a big deal. One person noted there is no way to tighten the swivel ball, the instructions actually tell you how. I've used mine for 2 weeks now with no issues.
