Reviews for Quadratec Quick Release Mirrors with Square Head for 97-18 Jeep Wrangler TJ, Unlimited, Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK
These hold well. Easy to adjust or even swing in for narrow spots. Slight expected vibration but they work great!
Simple and easy! Hint...once you ha EA mirrors set to desired position, make a small mark to speed alignment when placing back on vehicle
Most of the reviews were positive for these but some mentioned loosening. Did not want to spend too much since taking doors off will only be an occasional thing. Installed these recently on our ‘08 and had them on for over a week with only minor adjustments, tossed pliers in Jeep in case hand tight wasn’t good enough. Had them up to speeds of about 80mph with no loosening.
Great experience.
They look great and do what they are intended for. They do whistle a little 40mph, but no big deal. It is a jeep. I have had no issues with the moving. I used channel Lock pliers to tightened them.
Well worth the money. Little bit of vibration at speed but you can still see just fine. Simple to install and very easy off and on
Failed Maryland inspection due to mirrors relocated to the A pillar. These were the perfect solution. Completely understand the other reviews about the adjustment issues and not getting them tight enough. Plan on using these full time so will swap out the thumb screws for stainless nuts and bolts. Reminds me of my 79 and 84 CJ’S, great look!
I found these mirrors easy to install and have had great luck with them so far. I have been at interstate speeds and they did not move or vibrate to much to see. I think they are a great value for the price.
Love them, compared to my old hinge-style mirrors! As LOTS of others have mentioned, you aren't strong enough to tighten them on by hand. I took a 1" PVC pipe about a foot long and cut 4 notches into one end to make a tool to tighten them and loosen them (similar to what many of us have made to deal with the Freedom Top bolt thingys). Makes it super easy to tighten and loosen! I also took a paint marker and put a dot on both pieces after getting them adjusted to where I want them, so now I never have to adjust them after putting them on. Today I was driving 80+ without any adjustment problems, and I'm buying another set to keep at the cabin (I'll have to make another PVC tool, which will take about 1 minute).
Yes, they vibrate, you won't be able to read the plate on the car behind you, but you'll see that there's a car behind you.
These are great. You can leave the mounts on (no hindrance with door removal or replacement) and they give my JK a real old school Jeep look (similar to what the CJ mirrors used to look like). Fairly inexpensive and the best mirrors I've bought. And, I've tried many and they failed epically.
