Reviews for SpiderWebShade JKini Top for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
The instructions weren’t the best but I figured it out anyway. I just keep it installed even with the tops on so I am ready to go when I take the tops off!
I should've gotten this years ago for my 2008 JK 2dr. I never take the back part of my hard top off and really didn't want to do that to install this screen. This is how I installed the screen without removing my hard top. The install video at SpiderwebShade says to first attach the front of the screen. Do not do this! What I did was attach the rear two corners first. It took a little while to feed the screen's rear corner straps back to where I could grab them. Once I could grab the straps, I attached the ball cords and fastened them into place. Then I attached the front center, front corners, and sides of the screen. Make sure to do the front corners like they show in the video or your screen will sag. The screen may need a little tugging to sit more forward. To do the rear attachments where the Freedom Top screw holes are, do this. Get a length of rope (2 to 3 feet and about 1/4 inch thick). Feed the rope down through the screw hole to inside the jeep. Fasten the ball cord loop to the rope. Pull the rope back through the screw hole and pull the loop up through the screw hole. Now feed the rope and loop through the hole in the shade. With the rope still attached to the loop, feed the rope back between the sound bar and the rear hard top. Once you can get a hold of the rope, give it a tug and pull the loop back. Now unfasten the loop from the rope and attach the loop to the ball. Do this for the other screw hole. Super simple! As an afterthought, I could've used the rope back in step 1 to help feed the rear corner straps back through. This is a really nice screen!
Easy to install, I LOVE the color and the design that allows me to leave it installed underneath my soft top...only thing I'd suggest is to add an eyehole in the dead center/rear of the bikini top...the wind flaps the material to the point of annoyance. It was an easy fix, as I cut in my own and added another stretchy ball thing there...flapping gone.
good quality, easy to install, I always use it with the hardtop,
Still provides the top down feel but without cooking in the sun. Makes sitting in traffic on a sunny day no longer an issue.
Super easy to install, good fit, very happy with the shade.
I love having top and doors off the Jeep and hate wearing a hat to keep from getting sunburned. Installed the Jkini last night, drove 2.5 hrs to the ORV park today, played for a few hrs and drove home, 95 degrees sun shinning all day. I am so impressed with how much protection the Jkini provided. I got some sun, but no sunburn and i am still able to look up and see the sky and clouds. No flapping noise issues, not really any noise even at 70 MPH and stereo off...Love this product!!!
This is one of the best things I've purchased for my Jeep. It is easy to install, blocks most of the sun, doesn't flop around or make noises while driving and blocks the wind from the top. It is better than advertised.
Best to watch the video online on how to install. I never kept it in with my hard t tops.. even though they say you can. Let's the air through.. but it really does block the UV light. Don't have to use suntan lotion with it on.. AMAZING.
Shade was easy to install and really makes the Jeep fun to drive around in. No more neck sunburn! You can see the sky through the shade but it cuts down on the heat a lot. Reinstalled Freedom tops with the shade in easily by removing 3 bungee balls and the shade still stays stretched flat. Really happy with purchase.
