Reviews for Quadratec Roller Fairlead License Plate Mount
Fits pretty good does bend liscence plate a little, but mounts tight and strong no issues at 80+ MPH
Nice basic setup for mounting your plate to your fairlead. I used it for the fairlead that comes stock with the Smittybilt XRC 9500 winch and needed to drill extra holes to mount the brackets closer to each other. Without the extra holes, the plate bowed outward.
Looks like a nice sturdy bracket although it arrived with (5) M5 screw to hold on the spring clips and (3) M6 screws to hole on the license plate. Also the spring clips didn't line up with the alignment bars on my winch, Smittybilt winch.
Called customer service to see if I ordered the wrong one and they said no that I would have to drill new holes to make it fit right. I also told them that I could head off to the hardware store to purchase the correct license plate bolt. Other than that it seems like a nice unit. Gave them a 3 rating because it appears this is not the first time they have shipped hardware wrong and it doesn't say anything about drill holes if the unit doesn't fit right.
Very easy to install. It would be nice if they had some type of fastening on the back that would make it a little harder for a thief to pull off.
This plate does not work on my Smittybilt XRC, 9.5K, Gen 3 winch. The vertical fairlead rollers for the winch are spaced at 8 1/4" on centers. The plate brackets that snap on the rollers are spaced at 9" centers.
Doesn't fit the fairlead on my Rugged Ridge winch. Rollers on the fairlead are 8 3/16" apart, clips on the license plate bracket are 9" and neither are adjustable.
