Reviews for OMIX 12032.02 Hood Prop Rod Clip for 97-01 Jeep Wrangler TJ and 94-01 Cherokee XJ

Part installed easily, but broke as soon as I put the rod into the clip.

Was VERY careful not to apply much pressure during installation based on the multiple reviews of these breaking. Still broke. The way these are manufactured/stamped appears to over stress the bends in the metal so they are brittle.

Broke when I tried to insert it into position.

Snapped in place easily. However broke under normal pressure when I removed the hood prop. Guess that's why they changed this clip to the larger plastic one Mopar J4007456 (which requires a different size hole in the hood).

Clip broke the first time I removed the hood prop under normal pressure. Not a quality solution. I would have preferred not to give it 1 star but had to give it 1

Broke upon installation

Received the hood rod clip yesterday when to install the clip. This is not the same clip that was originally installed for the 1990 Jeep XJ. The hole didn’t event match up. The broke trying to make it work.

Broke during installation, looks like I will be looking for a Mopar part.
