On my 2nd one. (3rd if you count the Crown brand that didn’t even retract) I am now scared to open my tailgate even close to a 90 degree angle knowing it may pop out on the inside and break another tail light when swinging open.

Broke a year after replacing the original. Not a good design by Jeep-especially considering most Jeep owners switch to bigger tires.

This will not stop the tailgate from swinging open if your stock hinges fail to stop the swing of the tailgate. Use a but of Paracord instead.

I have replace my check strap 4 times not because it keeps pulling out on the tensioner assembly. Today the check strap pulled out again. Jeep should recall this part and redesign it.

Broke the second day after it was placed on the tail gate.
