Reviews for Quadratec QR3 Heavy Duty Side Steps for 87-06 Jeep Wrangler YJ, TJ
My only complaint is that they don't really stick out as far as I'd like on my 87 YJ. Mostly I just step over them. They are plenty sturdy enough to be a step and the black textured finish looks nice. Installation is simple and easy and the price was right.
Bought these to replace old ones on my 2002 TJ. They look good and seem to be good quality. Only problem I found and maybe I did something wrong( don’t think so because I followed the directions) was once installed they seemed to be a little flimsy as I stepped on the them. By flimsy I mean they gave a little too easy and didn’t feel sturdy like my old ones. I’m going to keep an eye on them over the use but for the price and from a great company you can’t beat it.
These side steps where a good upgrade on my jeep. Product was packaged good and shipped on time. Only gave it a 4 star because one of the steps had a dent on the ends where it bolts up, it didn't affect the install or the step but you could tell it came from the factory that way. It was still worth the price even with a very minor defect.
Great step bars. Reason for not giving 5 stars, is they have a small amount of give to them. Other than that all is good with them
Good value, though not quite a solid step due to cab mounts.
Easy to install. Minor figment issue but easily rectified.
Easy installation. Looks good.
These look good, but since they are mounted under the body bushing they flex alot when you stand on them. They really should come up with a better bracket to mount directly to the frame so that it is stiffer and sturdier. I'm afraid to stand on it which of course, defeats the purpose. I'll try to rig up something myself I guess or bring it to a welding shop.
This is the second one I’ve had of this side step. The first one lasted me a lot longer. The rubber never deteriorated off the step but the bottom side rusted out . I bought this one in 2019. It’s only four years old and the rubber that’s on top of the metal Crack. it doesn’t take the Florida sun .It’s a shame the 3yr warranty run out .
Stainless steel ones a few years old. Steel looks great but pad fell apart. Told me I could order pads but to call customer service because not listed on site. But I have to pay for them
