Reviews for Quadratec Mirror Relocation Bracket Kit for 97-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ & Unlimited
Easy to install(if the bolts come out of your 10 year old jeep from Michigan) had to drill one out. Now I'm legal with doors off. New straps for doors included is a bonus.
They ain't pretty...but they work. The upper door on the passenger side did block the bug eye I had installed in the lower inside corner so I had to move it to the outside corner, with the uppers off the mirror blockage was minimal. The door swing is limited a bit, more on the passenger side than the driver side, but not so bad that it hinders getting in and out of the passenger side.
There is no perfect way to mount mirrors on these vehicles if you want to be able to take the doors off, either you have to put some floppy flimsy things in the door hinges or you have to move the mirrors to the windshield frame. Until some better mirror setups are available this will do.
Works well but as the ad states the passenger side mirror is useless with the doors on.
They do their job. Lose a little visibility on passenger with doors on. They're sturdy. Not the prettiest but they are secure and worth 25 bucks. About an hour install time, mostly to get factory bolts unstuck. Doors don't open all the way but it isn't bad and still have plenty of room to enter.
Only downfall is the limited distance to be able to open the doors when on. Fitment is perfect. Bolts tend to rust fast. They could be a little more slim. Makes it nice to be able to pull my doors off anytime or anywhere have always have the mirrors on.
Maybe not the most aesthetically pleasing mirror movers, but they are a far more stable mount and have way less vibration than the drop in door hinge mirrors I was using previously. I had a bit of an issue getting the bolts out of the windshield hinge bracket as they tried to strip out, so I wound up hammering in the next size up torx and they broke free that way... From there the installation was smooth sailing, and I'm very pleased with the result.
easy to install, work well for having doors off. None of the Vibration issues I've seen with after market mirrors which is one of the reasons I chose these. If your looking for "Sharp" these aren't really it but they are functional and solid.
Still wish the brackets were a little wider since I’m still having trouble seeing out passenger side mirror
Does its job but paint is already fading and rusting.
Passenger side mirror is effectively rendered useless in this location.
