Reviews for Vertically Driven Products 31555 Stock Bumper Full Width End Cap Conversion Kit for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
These worked well for me. I had a wrinkle in the last 6 or 7 inches of my stock bumper on the Pass. side. Not any more.
I bought the early version of the Stubby Bumper endcaps from VDP a few years ago for my 2009, and was excited to see this new style, which I put on my 2012 JK. Love them, and they were pretty simple to install. One thing that wasn't mentioned was the interference between the caps and the lower plastic splash-guard, which needed trimmed. No biggie compared to sawing through the metal reinforcement in the bumper, though!! I highly recommend either style.
Very easy installation with very good instructions. Gives your JK a custom look.
Item I ordered was same as described and was undamaged. Instructions were clear and easy to put on. I love the new look with such a small change.
Really improves the looks of my front bumper. Helps keep mud off of bumper by closing up the big gap the factory put on there. Easy to install.
Look good and well worth the money
I was looking to keep my stock bumper and customize it. These end caps are the perfect solution. I love the look it gave my 2016 JK. The only complaint i have is the instructions. They are some what a little vague. They should include a photo after you chop off the bumper ends. I wasn't sure if I had to follow the tape line from the middle of the bumper pad, or, cut straight down from there. Hint. Cut straight down. I love the look. Awesome.
This is the most bang you'll get for the buck when it comes to changing your Jeep's appearance. While cutting the ends off your bumper can be quite daunting, it's actually really easy to do. Once you cut off the ends, you drill a few holes, and Voila! It really makes a dramatic difference!
I had dented both stock bumper ends twice and fixed them each time. I wanted to change the look, but didn't want to replace the entire bumper, because I would lose the Deer Guard! The install went fairly well. Definitely use a reciprocating saw for cutting! (pic) I did need to cut away a portion of the stock Splash Guard just a bit as well as the portions explained in the well-written directions. The JEEP push pins will firmly hold the new cap on, although I would have prefered to see a sturdier way of attaching them. I did the project alone, but it would be easier with "a helper" and looks great! *I also blackened the stock bumper areas that remained on the JEEP with a different product (sold separately).
Pretty easy to install. I didn't like the plastic push in connectors and replaced them with metal.
