Reviews for Quadratec Heavy Duty Adjustable Door Check Straps for 55-21 Jeep Vehicles
broke after 1 week! i would not get this
Good Idea But Needs Improvement. Second set I've had. First set I had the stitching between the adjustment loops on drivers side broke (I thought it was since it was used a lot more than the passenger side door), replaced with another set so they were both new and just broke the passenger side 1 month after the drivers side let loose. Need to make the stiching sturdier between the adjustment loops.
Broke on one windy day and not even on for a full week. Great idea but not the strongest of materials.
Both broke after 6 months. Switching to paracord door straps, easy to make yourself.
I'm not hard on my doors, but am on my third set of these. They rip through the stitching under minimal tension. Don't want to upgrade to the mechanical ones, just want these to last more than a few weeks before (always) failing.
I've purchased 2 sets of these, and 3 out of 4 straps malfunctioned within the first month of use.
These straps have multiple slots you can slip over the attachment point to limit the distance the door opens. These slots come unsewn easily making them no longer adjustable. Not very good quality.
They were fairly close to factory line. Straps didn't last 2 weeks before both broke. Not pleased at all.
I only used one strap to replace the drivers side door. The strap has multiple slots to choose from, well the slot i chose broke after about 2 months of use. I will use the other strap and see how long it lasts. I find the multiple slots to be are unnecessary. I would rather have a really well made strap with one length that is similar to the factory strap.
