Reviews for Fox® Racing Shox 985-24-145 2.0 Performance Series IFP Steering Stabilizer for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
I have read many reviews that say these are not necessary and only a luxury. I didnt need one and went with it anyway. While driving on the freeway i came across some pot holes from hell that usually jerk the steering wheel left and right. With this installed it felt as if i was gliding over it. I dont even have to hold the sterring wheel. Would recommend this for every jeep. Especially at this price.
After much research of looking for a Steering stabilizer upgrade I finally pulled the trigger on the Fox 2.0 Performance Series IFP Steering Stabilizer for my 2011 Jeep JK Unlimited. A brief overview of it, I run 35” tires, 20” rims, with a 3” lift. I ran dual rancho steering stabilizers that came installed on it originally. They were decent, a little bit of light wobble here and there but nothing like the definition of death wobble. I was research for months on the upgrade to get for these, whether it is another set of dual SS, Fox’s ATS system or a King Shocks steering stabilizer, Ultimately I ended up going with this unit and it has not disappointed (just make sure you get the mounting bracket and tie rod clamp/bracket) The smoothness of turning and going down the freeway or a back country road is a major major difference. It feels as if your riding on fresh pavement with a new set of tires.. very smooth ride. The steering and turning is very easy to do, can control the steering wheel with 2 fingers and can turn very easily with one hand. I’ve read many negative comments about turning the wheel and controlling the wheel being more difficult than before, I’ve had no issue. I also read a lot of negative comments about this unit pulling the left when driving; I have no experienced any of that yet. I know a lot of that known issue comes from the installation and not lining up the stabilizer properly or not running tires 35” and up. I highly recommend anyone looking for a stabilizer upgrade, a cheaper version of the FOX ATS stabilizer, or a smoother ride.. Installation was also very simple, took about a hour. The toughest part was removing the old steering components
Much better than the factory steering stabilizer, easy to install.
This replaced my stock steering stabilizer on my 2011 JKU. I really like the feel and it was an easy, simple bolt on replacement. You just have to turn the wheel a little off center to do the install because there are steering bolts that get blocked by the drag link bar when the wheels are pointed straight ahead. Simple and easy to do...
Very comfortable ride. Would purchase again.
I installed a 3.5 inch lift nice 37 inch wheels had the jeep alligned left the stock steering with the stock stablelizer after two months I was getting a mild death wooble , I checked the steering and found that the stablelizer had giving out so I immediately ordered this fox stablelizer , and six months later it's still holding up .
Love this product .
Replaced a Rough Country stabilizer with this that was wearing out making steering loose, attached this and regained all the control. It is a little pricey but definitely worth it!
Matches my shocks, good reviews.
Definitely bigger than stock. Easy install and seems to help with bump steer a little. Maybe the slightest pull to the left
Nice unit. Unfortunately the size of the cylinder comes in contact with he Synergy stabilizer relocation bracket. Not an issue now but may cause failure in the future.
