Reviews for Fox® Racing Shox 985-24-145 2.0 Performance Series IFP Steering Stabilizer for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
I replaced an after market brand name stablizer and the difference is drastic. Highly recommend this Fox stablizer.
Amazing steering!
I bought this to replace the original, damaged stabilizer. Not only did it fix the steering issues related to the damage, it dramatically improved the feel and response from the original. There is no pulling to the left at all, as I read in some other reviews.
Huge difference on steering response and stabilizing after hitting pit holes or bumps in the highway.
Installed this Fox 2.0 stabilizer on my '13 JKU with Mopar 2" lift and Goodyear LT315/70R17 (34" dia.) tires. Whereas the steering wanted to wander before this install, it now feels much tighter and requires less constant correction. Absolutely no pull to left or right. Just center, straight ahead steering. A little pricey, but well worth the money.
I bought a cheaper one and it blew out in less than a month. Spend the money and get the good one. Steering never felt better.
Outstanding product. Huge improvement over the OEM that I had.
Okay, I dropped this in and no pull to side neg/pos on my steering so dont listen to XTerrain's review on this product..works awesome and the matching set of front and rear FOX IFP 2.0 shocks are a massive improvement over stock by leaps and bound..highly recommend you come get you some!
For all who are inquiring to this stabilizer performance in a mostly stock Jeep, I cannot vouch for its performance. However, on my aftermarket setup it performs flawlessly! A little background on my Jeep. I am running a 3.5in Metalcloak Gamechanger suspension system with Metalcloak Rocksport shocks. I have a Currie heavy-duty front steering system, with a high steer kit, and I am running 35in tires on a Dana 30 front axle. Before purchasing this steering stabilizer, I contacted Fox directly to get some specifications from them, and to inquire about the pulling to the left issue people tend to have. For starters, this stabilizer has an extended length of 20.4in, and a compressed length of 13.3in. Which is much different from the OE stabilizer. Therefore, to most likely solve the pulling to the left issue many of you are experiencing. One should adjust the tie-rod mounted stabilizer mount so that the stabilizer can compress and expand its properly. Another explanation for the pulling left issue, this is a nitrogen charged stabilizer. Which makes the stabilizer much firmer. Therefore, with a stock suspension system, and smaller tires. I could maybe see this stabilizer being quite stiff, and hindering performance. To end this review, I believe that this stabilizer is perfect for a lifted vehicle with oversized tires.
Exactly what I was looking for. Helps keep big MT tires straight on the road with ease.
